The “2024-2025 Academic Year Opening and General Assembly” organized by our faculty was held on October 25, 2024 at the Faculty of Nursing Conference Hall. In addition to our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜNAL, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat KARYEYEN, Rector Advisors Prof. Dr. Selami CANDAN, Dr. Ahmet Bilal DOSTBİL, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Naime ALTAY, Dr. Lecturer Özlem CANBOLAT, Secretary General Mustafa AFŞAR, Faculty Secretary Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Özlem CANBOLAT, Secretary General Mustafa AFŞAR, Faculty Secretary Ali TÜMER, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Kahraman GÜNGÖR, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Bülent ELBASAN, Director of the Institute of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Adviye Gülçin SAĞDIÇOĞLU CELEP, vice deans, vice directors, academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Nursing.

The program started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem and continued with a cinevision show introducing the faculty. Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜNAL, who made the opening speech of the program, started his speech by wishing mercy to those who were martyred in the terrorist attack in TAI and urgent healing to the wounded. Underlining that the Faculty of Nursing is a very young faculty, Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜNAL said, “As the administration, we, from the moment we took office, plan to support our faculty members and staff in every subject and to continue this support increasingly during our term of office. I would like to thank all our faculty members and staff who have contributed to our Faculty today and wish you continued success in your academic life.”

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA gave information about the history of the faculty. Drawing attention to the academic and scientific studies carried out at the Faculty in her speech, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA concluded her speech by thanking our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal and the senior management of our University for their support.

After the opening speeches, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA made the general assembly presentation. After the presentation, the “Academic Successful Faculty Members and Staff Award Ceremony” was held. Our Dean Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, who was included in the “Last Year's Impact List” category in the Stanford University “World's Most Influential Scientists” List, was presented a certificate of achievement by our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜNAL. According to 2023 APSIS data, Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA ranked first among faculty members in terms of academic performance, Prof. Dr. Şengül YAMAN SÖZBİR ranked second, Prof. Dr. Zehra GÖÇMEN BAYKARA ranked third, Research Assistants ranked first among research assistants. Assist. Hazal ÖZDEMİR KOYU were presented certificates of achievement. In 2024, certificates of achievement were presented to Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, who is the executive in the “TÜSEB” project, Prof. Dr. Naile BİLGİLİ, who is the executive in the “TÜBİTAK-1002 A” project, Prof. Dr. Nurcan ÇALIŞKAN and Prof. Dr. Zehra GÖÇMEN BAYKARA, who developed “Utility Model”. Certificates of achievement were presented to Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, Prof. Dr. Nurcan ÇALIŞKAN, Prof. Dr. Ebru KILIÇARSLAN, Prof. Dr. Naime ALTAY and Prof. Dr. Zehra GÖÇMEN BAYKARA, who ranked first, second and third in the Q1-Q2 article category in 2024.

The Opening and General Assembly of the 2024-2025 Academic Year of our Faculty ended with collective photo shoots after the goodwill wishes.
