Gazi University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing said goodbye to its graduates of the 2024-2025 academic year with a ceremony held at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Itri Congress and Culture Center on June 13th. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer and Prof. Dr. Serhat Karyeyen, Advisor to the Rector Prof. Dr. Selami Candan, Faculty of Nursing Dean Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz Alkaya, Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Bülent Elbasan, Faculty of Applied Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Barış Kınacı, Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. Fatih AKKURT, Acting Director of the Health Sciences Institute Prof. Dr. Naime Altay, Faculty of Nursing Assistant Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Canbolat, Assist. Hande Mortaş, Gazi University Health Application and Research Center Gazi Hospital Nursing Services Director Begüm ÇINAR, academicians and staff, students and their families attended.

Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz Alkaya, said that they were happy and proud to bid farewell to the graduates of the Nursing Department. Stating that the students graduated with a good education, Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz Alkaya thanked the academicians and the families of the students for their roles in this success. Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz Alkaya concluded his speech by wishing the graduates success in their professional lives.

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Bülent Elbasan, began his speech by providing information about the Faculty and the Nursing Department. Prof. Dr. Bülent Elbasan stated that they act with the mission of training health professionals and educators who can cooperate and work in interdisciplinary ways in the field of health, use science and technology to improve the health and quality of life of the society, are researchers, respectful of ethical and human values, and have the necessary knowledge and skills in their profession. Prof. Dr. Bülent Elbasan, who stated that they were happy to graduate the graduates of the Department of Nursing as well-equipped nurses in their fields, wished them success in their professional lives.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal, said that they trained the nurses of the future as professionals and educators who can cooperate and work in interdisciplinary teams, use science and technology to improve the health and quality of life of society, are researchers, respectful of ethical and human values, and have the necessary knowledge and skills in their professional fields. Reminding that the students graduated from a qualified higher education institution such as Gazi University, Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal stated that the graduates will always continue to experience the privilege of being from Gazi. Emphasizing that nurses are one of the most important elements of health services, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal, wishes the graduates success in their professional lives.

After the speeches, certificates of achievement were presented to the students who were ranked. The Nursing Oath, which is an important step in starting the nursing profession, was read enthusiastically by our graduates through the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz Alkaya. The program ended after the students threw their caps into the air with great enthusiasm.
