Gazi University Faculty of Nursing Career Planning Commission and Career Planning Application and Research Centre of our University organised ‘Career Day in Nursing’ event on 03 June 2024. The event took place with wide participation; Faculty members and staff of Gazi University Nursing Department and all 4th grade students, Güven Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Ankara Language Science Academy, Medical Park Health Group and Gazi University Hospitals attended. The event, which was held at the Faculty of Technology Taşkent Building Conference Hall, started with the opening speeches of Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Prof. Dr. Fazlı POLAT, Vice Rector. Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA gave information about the Faculty of Nursing in her speech. Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA stated that as a faculty, they attach importance to organising activities that guide the careers of graduates as well as education and training, and stated that they organised this event with KAPUM in this context. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fazlı POLAT stated that through the activities organised by our University, they ensure that students grow up as individuals equipped both academically and career-wise. In this context, he thanked the Faculty of Nursing Career Planning Commission and KAPUM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf GÜNAYDIN and his team. Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fazlı POLAT concluded his speech as follows ‘Dear students, you will graduate as a professional member of our university, whose mission is “To educate individuals who can lead the society, respect national, spiritual, cultural and human values; to contribute to the lifelong education and development process of the society by producing, sharing and transforming knowledge into life through pioneering research”. We are confident that you will represent our university in the best way possible by embracing this mission in the career fields you will pursue after graduation.’ After the opening speeches, KAPUM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf GÜNAYDIN talked about their activities as a centre. Emine KOÇ from the Turkish Nurses Association made a presentation on ‘Professional Organisation in Nursing’. Prof. Dr. Fazlı POLAT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf GÜNAYDIN; Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA gave a presentation on ‘Professional Organisation in Nursing’. Assist. Emine KOÇ was presented a certificate of appreciation. After the music recital, the all-day event continued with institutional presentations. After the introductions of Güven Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Anakara Lisan Fen Akademi, Medikal Park Health Group and Gazi University Hospital, the event continued with the visit of hospital stands. Students visited the stands, received information about hospitals and had the opportunity to make their first applications to various corporate hospitals. The event was completed with wishes and wishes.
