Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing Practice Laboratory
The laboratory was established in 2008. The purpose of its establishment is to provide students with the opportunity to practice in the laboratory environment for the Gynecology and Diseases Nursing course and to provide a suitable laboratory environment for the conduct of courses such as "Birth Preparation Class", "Family Counseling", "Infertility Nursing" to be carried out in the Department of Gynecology and Diseases Nursing, and to create opportunities for experimental studies to be carried out in the department. The clinical training, which is obtained after the professional skills laboratory practice, enables the student to learn by practicing nursing clinical skills in real environments such as hospitals and family health centers. Experiences provided in professional skills laboratory practices, besides transferring theoretical knowledge to practice, increase the psychomotor development of the student and provide professional socialization. In the laboratories, there are three birth models (semi-simulation) and patient beds (3 units) that allow working on these models. In addition, newborn models (3 units), pelvis model (2 units), vulva model (3 units), milking pump (3 units), aspirator device (4 units), breast model (3 units), neonatal care unit with radiant heating are also available in the laboratory. There are (1 piece), baby beds (3 pieces), baby scales (3 pieces), screen (3 pieces) and examination lamp (5 pieces). There are also other small tools and supplies and consumables used in the skills.
