Nursing Skills Laboratory

In the Nursing Skills Laboratory, one of the laboratories of Gazi University Faculty of Nursing, applied studies are carried out for the vocational psychomotor skills training of nursing students. It is one of the few well-equipped institutions in Turkey in terms of nursing skills laboratory with its current device, equipment, infrastructure facilities and academic staff. It contributes to the training of nurses who are competent in terms of knowledge and skills in their field. The laboratory has an advanced simulator, ten beds, eight mannequins, arm and half hip models and materials for practicing all psychomotor skills. Psychomotor skills training of undergraduate courses are given in the laboratory. In skill training, students are first given demonstrations and then students are provided to practice on models. Thus, it is aimed that students gain basic skills before starting clinical practice. In addition, the laboratory is an advanced laboratory that allows the implementation stages of postgraduate education, thesis and scientific research projects. The devices and instruments in the laboratory are updated and increased in parallel with scientific innovations.
