At a ceremony organized by the Gazi University Social Contribution Commission, faculty members and academic staff who successfully completed their social responsibility projects during the first half of 2026 in accordance with the criteria of the YÖKAK were presented with certificates of appreciation by Gazi University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Hayta at the New Senate Hall.
Among the award recipients, Prof. Dr. Hülya Bulut received certificates of appreciation for the projects “Don’t Hesitate to Ask: Every Step of Your Urological Surgery Journey with You,” “Informed Steps in Colorectal Surgery,” and “Home Care After Brain Surgery: Safe Steps in the Recovery Process.” Prof. Dr. Yeter Kitiş and Research Assistant Aysun Erdal were recognized for the project “A Memory of the 100th Anniversary: Generations Meet Through Play.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Figen Şengün İnan received certificates for the projects “There Is Hope! Awareness and Resilience in Mental Health Recovery,” “Listen, Understand, Support: Keys to Effective Communication,” and “Cope with Stress, Grow Stronger.” Assistant Professor Nevra Kalkan was recognized for the projects “The Voice, Breath, and Light of Recovery: Home Care After Rhinoplasty, Cataract, and Ear Surgery,” “Preoperative Education for Patients Undergoing Gynecologic Oncology Surgery,” and “Symptom Management and Home Care Education for Oncology Patients.” Lecturer Dr. Nurcan Düzgün received certificates of appreciation for the projects “From Mind to Body: The Power of Coping with Stress,” “A Journey to Hope Through Colors: Art Therapy for Oncology Patients,” and “Colors of the Soul: Rediscovering Yourself Through Art.”
