Organized by the Student Quality Commission with the aim of disseminating the culture of quality assurance at the institutional level across our university, effectively and sustainably integrating student participation into quality processes, and increasing the efficiency of feedback mechanisms, the “Student Quality Commission Information Meeting” was held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The meeting was attended by Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehtap Uzun Aksoy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Makbule Gezmen Karadağ, Student Quality Commission Academic Advisor Prof. Dr. Hacer Deniz Arısu, Assistant Quality Coordinator Lecturer Mustafa Karataş, Head of the Faculty of Nursing Unit Quality Team Assist. Prof. Dr. Feride Ercan, members of the unit quality team, academic staff, members of the University Student Quality Commission, and students from the Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Health Sciences.

During the program, Fatmanur Büyüksarıkulak, Vice Chair of the Student Quality Commission and Representative of the Faculty of Health Sciences, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the commission’s institutional structure, duties, and operating procedures. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of students taking part not only as stakeholders but also as active contributors in decision-making and improvement processes. She also described feedback mechanisms as one of the key components that nourish the dynamic structure of the university. It was stated that the transparent collection and evaluation of students’ opinions, requests, and suggestions and their communication to the relevant administrative units contribute significantly to the institution’s perspective of “continuous improvement.”

Within the scope of the meeting, the contributions of the “social transcript” application—which highlights students’ social, cultural, and sports achievements in addition to their academic competencies—to individual and professional development were also emphasized. Students were encouraged to participate actively and effectively in existing feedback channels in order to further improve the quality of education and services at our university.
