The 3rd Uniform Wearing Ceremony, organized for the third time this year by our University’s Faculty of Nursing, was held with broad participation. The program, which took place at the Rectorate Mimar Kemaleddin Hall, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜNAL; Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hasan TEZER and Prof. Dr. Serhat KARYEYEN; Rector’s Advisor Dr. Ahmet Bilal DOSTBİL; Deputy Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sena AYDOĞAN; Acting Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Nurcan ÇALIŞKAN; Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem CANBOLAT and Dr. Mehtap UZUN AKSOY; Deputy Director of the Institute of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Naime ALTAY; academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Nursing; and first-year nursing students. The program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by a musical performance. In his opening speech, Rector of Gazi University, Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜNAL, stated: “The Faculty of Nursing at Gazi University is an important educational institution that carries our university’s strong academic heritage into the field of healthcare. From Safiye Hüseyin Elbi, who is regarded as a pioneer of modern nursing in Türkiye, to the present day, the nursing profession has reached its current level through advances in medical science and has become an indispensable component of our healthcare system.”

In her opening speech, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Nurcan ÇALIŞKAN, emphasized that nursing is not merely a part of healthcare services, but a fundamental profession that directly touches human life and requires dedication and responsibility. She also expressed her gratitude to all academic staff who guide students in becoming individuals who will contribute to the healthcare system. Speaking at the ceremony, Derya GENÇALİOĞLU, the student who was admitted to the Faculty of Nursing with the highest score, stated that they would touch people’s lives throughout their professional careers and thanked all academic staff who will guide them over the next four years. Following the opening speeches, the students received their name badges from Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜNAL; Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hasan TEZER and Prof. Dr. Serhat KARYEYEN; Rector’s Advisor Dr. Ahmet Bilal DOSTBİL; Deputy Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sena AYDOĞAN; Acting Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Nurcan ÇALIŞKAN; and faculty members. The program concluded with a group photo session.
