The Faculty of Nursing 2025 Quality and Unit Improvement Studies Review Stakeholder Meeting was held on December 25, 2025.
The meeting, organized to increase the success and competence of unit quality studies, was attended by Faculty Dean Prof. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Özlem Canbolat, Vice Dean responsible for quality studies Assist. Prof. Nevra KALKAN, Unit Quality Team Head Assist. Prof. Feride ERCAN, Quality Commission Unit Advisor Member Prof. Hacer DENİZ ARISU, members of the Unit Advisory Board, Prof. Sergül DUYGULU from Hacettepe University Faculty of Nursing; Nurse Fadik ÇÖKELEK, Specialist Nurse and Unit Head of Quality Management Directorate at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital; Nurse Figen BAY, Vice President of the Oncology Nursing Association; Begüm ÇINAR, Director of Nursing Services at Gazi University Hospital; Nurse Serap YILMAZTÜRK, a graduate student from Eskişehir Yunus Emre State Hospital and members of the Unit Quality Team, academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Nursing, and students serving on the Unit Quality Team.
In the opening speech, Dean of Faculty, Prof. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, emphasized the importance of active participation of all faculty members and staff in quality improvement processes. Following the opening remarks, Head of the Unit Quality Team, Assoc. Prof. Feride ERCAN, delivered a presentation entitled "Nursing Faculty 2025 Quality and Unit Improvement Plan Studies".
Subsequently, Quality Commission Unit Advisor Prof. Hacer DENİZ ARISU, evaluated the Faculty’s Quality Improvement Plan Report. Prof. ARISU provided positive feedback regarding the high rate of implementation of improvement activities. Additionally, she highlighted the positive impact of student participation in faculty boards and committees, and emphasized the importance of establishing a student-led unit quality team. Furthermore, Prof. ARISU emphasized the importance of sharing announcements regarding our university's social transcript application with students and stated that our faculty contributed to this process in a timely manner. Members of the Unit Advisory Board, Prof. Sergül DUYGULU from Hacettepe University Faculty of Nursing and Figen BAY, vice president of the Oncology Nursing Association, stated that the quality and improvement processes are progressing positively and that the faculty's visibility has increased. The importance of monitoring, evaluating, and updating program outcomes during the accreditation process was emphasized. Regarding alumni relations, it was suggested that alumni tracking processes be strengthened and practices developed to increase alumni participation in the system.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Assist. Prof.. Feride ERCAN, Head of the Unit Quality Team, expressed her gratitude to the members of the Unit Quality Team for their contributions to the quality processes and report preparation, and to the Unit Advisory Board members for their valuable participation in the meeting.
