On November 5, 2025, an event titled “Peer Mentoring Program: Evaluating Our Experiences, Sharing Them with Our Peers” was held with the mentees and mentors participating in our faculty's 2023-2024/2nd Term and 2024-2025/3rd Term Peer Mentoring Program. Sharing with Our Peers." The event, organized by the Peer Mentoring (Mentorship) Commission, was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem CANBOLAT and Dr. Lecturer Nevra KALKAN, (Mentoring) Commission Chair Prof. Dr. Sevil GÜLER, faculty members and staff of the Faculty of Nursing, students and graduates who served as mentees and mentors in the Peer Mentoring Program conducted in the 2023-2024/2nd Term and 2024-2025/3rd Term, for a total of 70 people. The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr. Sevil GÜLER, Chair of the Peer Mentoring Commission, and Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, Dean of our Faculty. At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sevil GÜLER presented the self-assessment results of the mentorship and clinical mentorship of the Peer Mentoring Program based on Maslow's Basic Human Needs Theory, which was implemented between 2022 and 2025, and the improvements made as of the 2025-2026 4th Term in line with these results. Our graduate mentor who served in the program during the 2023-2025 period and Sanko University Faculty of Health Sciences Faculty of Nursing teaching staff Research Assistant Zahide Güler EZER, our graduate mentor Nurse Beyza ÖZSOY, our mentee student Ferhat Ali YAKUPOĞLU, who is continuing his education in the 2nd year of the Faculty of Nursing, and Dr. Özlem KARA, research assistant at the Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department, who served as an academic advisor and rapporteur on our Commission during the same period, shared their experiences. Research Assistant Zahide Güler EZER emphasized the importance of mentoring experience and mentoring culture, explaining the activities she carried out with her mentee students and the contributions of the mentoring program to their development with examples. Nurse Beyza ÖZSOY highlighted her experiences in the mentoring process and the positive effects of this experience on her professional life. Ferhat Ali YAKUPOĞLU, one of our mentee students, shared his experiences in the mentoring program and its positive effects on his academic and clinical adaptation, describing the mentoring process as a “lucky break.” Finally, academic advisor Research Assistant Dr. Özlem KARA shared the importance of academic advisors and her experiences in facilitating meetings between mentors and mentees and ensuring the smooth transfer of knowledge. During the event, Prof. Dr. Sevil GÜLER presented participation certificates to the mentees and mentors who took part in the Peer Mentoring Program for the 2023-2024/2nd Term and 2024-2025/3rd Term, as well as to the faculty members who contributed to the program as academic advisors. She also presented certificates of appreciation to the participants who shared their experiences. The program concluded with the sharing of wishes and suggestions
