The 2023-2024 Academic Year Academic General Assembly Meeting, which was held for the first time at the Faculty of Nursing, was held on November 27, 2023, at the Faculty of Nursing Conference Hall.

The program was attended by the Vice Rector University, Prof. Dr. Fazlı POLAT, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Naime ALTAY and Dr. Lecturer Member Özlem CANBOLAT, faculty member/staff and students attended.

The program started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem and continued with a musical concert. The opening speeches of the program were made by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. It was performed by Fazlı POLAT.

Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz ALKAYA said that with this meeting, they will review the establishment process of the Faculty, the education and training activities carried out by the faculty members, as well as research and project activities, scientific activities, social contribution and social responsibility projects in the period between January 31 and November 24. In this context, she thanked the faculty members and staff who contributed with their devoted work.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fazlı POLAT stated that the Faculty of Nursing faculty members work in many areas such as seminars, symposiums, congresses, research projects, student community activities, as well as educational activities. Also Prof. Dr. Fazlı Polat stated that the successful work of the Faculty of Nursing in the fields of social contribution, social responsibility, R&D, quality, strategy and accreditation has a very valuable contribution to our University.

The program continued with the presentation of Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA the Academic General Assembly. Prof. Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA’s presentation, gave information about issues such as the staff structure of academic and administrative staff, educational activities, student status, scientific activities, research and development activities and projects, and university collaborations. Dean Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz Alkaya also mentioned that successful studies were carried out at the Faculty in the fields of R&D, quality, strategy and accreditation. Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayaz Alkaya completed his speech by wishing that the 2023-2024 academic year would be successful and productive.

The program continued with the award ceremony for academics and students who achieved academic success. According to 2022 APSİS data, among faculty members in terms of academic performance ranks first Dr. Sultan AYAZ ALKAYA, second place Prof. Dr. Şengül YAMAN SÖZBİR, third place Prof. Dr. Zehra GÖÇMEN BAYKARA certificates of achievement were presented. Ranking first among research assistants, Res. Asst. Dr. Evrim SARITAŞ certificates of achievement were presented. The program ended with the presentation of certificates to who entered our faculty with honors in the 2023-2024 academic year, Raziye ÜNLÜTÜRK, who ranked first among the students Derya ULUDAĞ, who was ranked second, and Beyzanur PARLAR, who was ranked third.
